Golden Globe nominee in the Best Original Song announced Thursday morning are Taylor Swift, U2, Coldplay, Menzel, and Justin Timberlake.

Taylor Swift co-wrote the song "Sweeter than Fiction" together with fun. Guitarist Jack Antonoff. The soundtrack song was the first tune after Swift's newest release of the album 'Red,' which she is now promoting on her very successful Red Tour.'

"Sweeter than Fiction" is from the movie 'One Chance.' Film is based on the true story of Paul Potts who was a sales associate by day and opera singer by night. Potts became well-know when he auditioned for Britain's God Talent. After the show Potts' dream to become opera singer became reality.

The X Factor semifinal acts wowed judges Lovato, Rowland, Cowell, Rubio 

Grammy award winner Swift said she was inspired by the struggles and triumphs of Paul Potts. "Getting to see the struggles and triumphs of someone who was chasing what he was after really inspired me," said Swift in the behind the scenes video.

Swift was nominated for Golden Globe awards last year, however went home empty handed as Adele won the prize for her hit song the "Skyfall."

U2 was nominated with the song "Ordinary Love" for the movie 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom." The soundtrack song was the first song from the band since 2009.

The band is planning a new album which should be out in 2014. Reportedly, the new U2 album will be the follow-up to their 2009 release 'No Line on the Horizon.' 'No Line on the Horizon,' became band's seventh number one to top The Billboard 200.

Golden Globe nomination also goes to British alternative rock band Coldplay and their song "Atlas" from the movie 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.'

The ballad song is the first song ever written and recorded by Coldplay for a movie. The original Motion Picture soundtrack was nominated for Grammy Awards.

Performances by Idina Menzel in the song "Let it Go," from the movie 'Frozen' and the song "Please Mr Kennedy," starring Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, John Goodman and Oscar Isaac, from 'Inside Llewyn Davis,' also got a nod from Golden Globe 2014.
