The X Factor semifinal acts wowed judges Lovato, Rowland, Cowell, Rubio

The X Factor's last night went through its semifinal round wowing the audience and four judges Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, Simon Cowell, and Paulina Rubio. The final four acts performed three times creating a unique vibe.

In the first round, the performers offered the song chosen by viewers. The second time round they sung a duet. The third and final song was chosen to show all the talent within as well as to show the audience who is the most passionate about getting their vote.

Some of the semifinalists wowed not only the audience but also judges who rewarded the performer with standing ovations.

Carlito Olivero stepped up to the stage with Justin Bieber's song "Boyfriend" during which he danced with Rowland. Cowell said about Olivero that he's a great performer and people like him.

Young country group Restless Road wowed the audience with their rendition of Hunter Hayes' song "Wanted." The group also gained judges attention and standing ovation.

The audience couldn't hold to their seats when duo Alex & Sierra performed Sara Bareilles' song titled "Gravity." Judges Demo Lovato and Kelly Rowland were moved to tears. By the end of the song, all four judges were on their feet.

Lovato added a compliment saying, "I am looking at stars. You guys never cease to amaze me."

Demi Lovato opened up about past cocaine addiction

Simon Cowell commented their performance saying, "It was absolute perfection."

Incredible performance of the song "Hallelujah" by rocker Jeff Gutt brought him standing ovation from the judges and from the audience.

Although this song was performed many times on the show, Gutt was complimented by judges for making it his own.

MTV artist of the year title goes to Miley Cyrus 

After Gutt's performance Demi Lovato said the version of his "Hallelujah" is her favorite.  

Cowell commented Gutt's performance with words, "That was one of the best versions I've ever heard, because it had absolute sincerity, passion. You absolutely took the song like you owned it."

In the duet performance, Carlito battled against Alex & Sierra in the song "Falling Slowly." Jeff Gutt and Restless Road battled in the song "Every Breath You Take."
