Taylor Swift turns 24 today, December 13. Country crossover singer and songwriter celebrates her birthday in Australia while on her very successful Red Tour during which she promotes her newest album 'Red.'

Taylor Swift tweeted about her birthday yesterday saying, "It would appear that I'm now 24. That's on Australia time though. Still 23 in the States."

"A Golden Globe nomination on my birthday... I think it's safe to say there will be no walking for me today, only skipping and frolicking," tweeted happy Swift, who welcomed her nomination with great excitement.

Swift wrote the song with fun. Guitarist Jack Antonoff. "Sweeter than Fiction" was the first new song since her latest full length release of the 'Red' album in 2012. The song was created for the movie titled 'One Chance.' The movie tells a surprising true story based on life of Paul Potts who became a start over night when he auditioned for 'Britain's Got Talent.' Potts, who was a shop assistant in his day job and an opera singer at night, turned his dream of becoming a professional performer and opera singer to reality.

"Getting to see the struggles and triumphs of someone who was chasing what he was after really inspired me," said Swift about the song and the inspiration behind the lyrics.
In a short footage regarding the soundtrack and the movie, Swift expressed, "It's a beautiful movie and I just wanted to share it with as many people as I could."

Taylor Swift's Red Tour will continue with her concert tomorrow in Melbourne, Australia. Early 2014 she will head to Europe to play in United Kingdom and Germany. She will visit London, UK, where she will perform 3 concerts in February. Then she will play the songs from her 'Red' album in Berlin, Germany, before returning back to London's The O2 Arena, where she has two more concerts scheduled.

Album 'Red' is Swift's fourth studio effort. The record released in October 2012 on Big Machine Records. The album was a follow up to her very successful previous record titled 'Speak Now' from 2010.
Her newest effort was a success and received mostly positive reviews complimenting Swift's versatility. The album sold over 1.28 million copies in the first week in the United States.
