According to The Daily Mail, New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is dating screenwriter Jamie Linden since her divorce from ex-husband, Death Cab for Cutie and Postal Service frontman Ben Gibbard.

Deschanel and Gibbard were married in 2009, but the couple then filed a divorce in 2012, in an amicable split citing irreconcilable differences.

Deschanel's new boyfriend is known for his independent directorial effort 10 Years, starring Channing Tatum, as well as penning the screenplay for Dear John which is adapted from the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. Linden's most notable work is the screenplay for We Are Marshall about a 1970's university football team that died in a plane crash and the hometown that was largely affected by this real life event.

The actress reveals that she does not like to go into details about her personal life, and that may be due to the media frenzy that ensued over her divorce. "You have to be careful about what you reveal. You can't invite people in and then kick them out," she said.

The self-described feminist also hates being asked whether or not she wants kids, "Like every woman is dying to give birth! I don't think so. Nobody asks guys that," she exclaims in a recent interview with Instyle magazine.

"You go into a supermarket and every tabloid is like, "Pregnant and Alone!'. Stuck in this 1950's ideal of how a woman should live her life. That's not something that defines me at all"¦ This brings out the fiery feminist in me."

Deschanel is one of the most versatile celebrities working today. Apart from acting in New Girl, she is also a producer, a musician, a fashion designer, and a businesswoman who co-founded a very successful blog with two of her friends.
