Zelda Wii U Release Date 2015: Hint from E3 Trailer - Trio Of Games a Possibility
Legendary game company, Nintendo, has announced during last month's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo), an upcoming Zelda game for the Wii U. What's more, is that they've hinted that not one, but three Zelda games are in the works.
Nintendo gave out the news during a general shareholder's meeting. They said that aside from a Zelda game for the Wii U, and Hyrule Warriors, the series will be making its return to the 3DS hand-held sometime in the future.
There has not been a confirmed release date for the new Wii U Zelda game, but at the end of the trailer video shown by Nintendo at the E3 Conference, the year 2015 is flashed. More or less, players can expect the game to come out next year. The real question however, is would Nintendo make the release before, during, or after the E3 2015.
A shareholder asked that specific question to which Shigeru Miyamoto, Senior Managing Director and General Manager of Integrated Research & Development Division, said, "Although this Annual General Meeting of Shareholders is a special opportunity, I am afraid I cannot give you any information other than what has been officially announced." and, "At this point, there are a few titles under development in "The Legend of Zelda" series, so please look forward to their completion," he added.
Miyamoto has also expressed his excitement over the next Wii U Zelda game which generally deviates from past titles. As previous Zelda games were linear, where players would go from one dungeon to another, the Wii U release will feature an "open world," where players can freely choose where to go, giving the game a more action-adventure feel.
