Yellowstone Volcano Hoax: Super Eruption Not True, Origins To False Alarm Article Traced
The Yellowstone Super volcano located in Wyoming has been a popular subject of hoax makers since the start of the year. The latest hoax has just made it through to social media recently, prompting alarm among some citizens in the United States.
An earlier hoax that went viral about four months ago, and used the allegations that the bison native to the Yellowstone Park had started fleeing the district to elude imminent danger as a basis to create false alarm among communities.
However, the latest Yellowstone hoax has reportedly originated from a website called the Civic Tribune which supposedly prides itself as 'dedicated' to the truth. An article entitled "Yellowstone Evacuated: Experts Claim 'Super Volcano' Could Erupt In Weeks", penned by a writer named Chudasi Delhi, claims that the Yellowstone National Park had been evacuated in haste due to an imminent danger brought about by an impending volcanic eruption of its Yellowstone Calderia.
The article has not cited sources to its claims, but went as far as quoting a certain Senior Volcanologist named Richard Dunn as saying that the 'impending eruption' could never have been predicted accurately, and that their primary concern is the people's safety.
Another website, Minds.com, decided to research the supposed Senior Volcanologist and found a Richard Dunn that chairs the Earth and Environmental Science in Norwich University in Vermont. The website apparently came in contact with the professor and was able to inquire if there was any truth to the report, but Professor Dunn apparently flat out denied that the statement published in Civic Tribune was his.
