I know it's a little early in the MLB 2013 season to start talking Cy Young but when you look at Cleveland pitcher Justin Masterson's numbers, it's easy to get overexcited. With a WHIP well under 1.2 and an overall ERA slightly above 3, Masterson has been the undisputed leader of the Indians pitching staff and a huge reason they're only a half game behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central.

Game 1 against the New York Yankees, starts a 9 game road trip for the Cleveland Indians. The 9 games away from Progressive Field should be a good gauge as to whether or not the Indians are post-season material.

Big picture for the Yankees: they're 3-7 in their last 10 games. They lost 2 of 3 against AL East rivals, the Boston Red Sox. Hoping June will fare a bit better than May, the Yankees are calling on veteran Andy Pettitte to rescue them from self-destruction. Pettitte (4-3, 3.83) is coming off the DL and a strained muscle in his upper back. Though the aging Yankees pitching rotation got off to a good start, can they hold up for the entire 2013 season?

One ray of sunshine for the Yankees is the return of 1B slugger Mark Teixeira. Though Teixeira seemed overmatched in the Red Sox series, his presence in the lineup is much appreciated.

Tune in to see if the Cleveland Indians can travel to New York and beat the Yankees in their own stadium.
