Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Release Date, Specs: Device Photo Leaked By Sony?
Although Sony has not made any announcement regarding the release of its upcoming Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, it is speculated that the device will be unveiled at the forthcoming IFA trade fair in Berlin, Germany, on Sept. 5.
Meanwhile, Android Community has detected a Sony SmartBand advertisement on Sony's Facebook page, which shows a man holding a device that appears to be a tablet. However, the Facebook post has been since removed.
There are rumors that the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will have an 8-inch screen with 1080p full HD resolution and be packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. In addition, it is likely to have a 2GB or 3GB RAM.
An earlier report says that Sony has accidentally revealed details regarding the specs, price and release date in the United Kingdom. According to the report, an online gadget tabloid mentioned the Z3 Tablet in the User Manual of Sony's BSC10 Bluetooth speaker and Charging Dock.
It further says that the Z3 Tablet Compact is unlikely to offer Retina Display. Nevertheless, similar to its predecessors, the device will be waterproof. As the device is rumored to have just 16GB internal storage, it is very likely that Sony will also include a slot housing an external-SD card on the device.
In addition, there are other reports claiming that apart from the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, the Japanese tech firm may display a number of other handsets at Sony's pre-IFA press conference scheduled for Sept. 3.
It is also speculated that with the Xperia Z3 Tablet, the Japanese tech firm will be looking forward to countering Apple's iPad Mini and not the iPad Air, which are both scheduled to be released sometime soon.
