E3 2014 Xbox One Updates: Microsoft Reveals Pre-E3 Activities; ‘Mortal Kombat’, ‘Homefront’

Only a few days away from the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California, and fans are wondering if they could get exclusive access to games and other software during the event. Microsoft announced a number of pre-E3 activities intended for Xbox fans and enthusiasts.

According to a press release, Microsoft will be conducting an Xbox E3 Media Briefing on Sunday, June 8 at the Century City Microsoft Store.

The event, which opens at 11 AM and ends at 3 PM, will cater to 100 spectators, pooled from both the media sector and from avid Xbox players. Despite E3's exclusivity towards program developers, fans can tune in to a live stream featuring pre-show sneak peeks and interviews on Xbox.com.

On the other hand, those who cannot attend any of the mentioned schedules can take advantage of dedicated ID@Xbox on Twitch.tv from June 10 - 12 to watch game play from the live event.

Xbox Live Gold launches five free games available on Xbox One like Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood, Halo: Spartan Assault, and for Xbox 360 namely Dark Souls, Charlie Murder, and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition as a bonus game.

According to Gamespot, Warner Bros will also be featuring Mortal Kombat X on E3 with its expected official public release on 2015. Creator Ed Boon said that Mortal Kombat's tenth installment is packed with "cinematic presentations and longer game plays."

"Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience," Gamespot quoted on a trailer video released for Mortal Kombat X.

Other Xbox-compatible games to be presented on E3, include Homefront and Ryse: Son of Rome.
