Xbox One VS PS4 Release Date News: Both Consoles Have Sold Over 2 Million Units Due to Great Launch Title Games [Photo]

The Xbox One is quickly catching up to the PS4 in terms of consoles sold since the release date. The Xbox One has sold around 2 million units while the PS4 has sold around 2.1 million devices. The PS4 was released two weeks before the Xbox One.

Microsoft marketing executive Yusuf Mehdi said, "We continue to be humbled and overwhelmed by the positive response from our fans. We are thrilled to see sales of Xbox One on a record-setting pace, with over 2 million Xbox One consoles in homes around the world. We're also particularly excited to see consumers engaging in a wide range of games and entertainment experiences on the platform."

One reason why these consoles have been selling so well is because they have great launch title games, such as Ryse for Xbox 360. These next generation games make consumers feel like they need to have the next generation consoles in order to not miss out on the entertainment.

Many critics agree that the graphics and specs of the two consoles are very similar, and much of the deciding factors on which device to purchase come from the games and controllers. Some Xbox One games include DeadRising 3, Ryse,: Son of Rome, and Call of Duty: Ghosts. Some PS4 games include The Evil Within, Kingdom Hearts 3, Infamous: Second Son, and more.
