Xbox One NFL Partnership with NeuLion Brings Live Streams of Football to 60 FPS
Xbox One will be receiving access to live and on-demand sports streams and content through Microsoft's new multiple year partnership with NeuLion, a IPTV company.
According to Polygon, the agreement will allow Xbox One users to watch live 24/7 sports and on-demand channels at 6mbps and 60 frames per second. Included in the stream will be real time data and stats.
NeuLion is a cloud based service that takes these live sports feeds and transitions them into a format for the console.
At the moment Microsoft has two other sports based apps on the Xbox One, ESPN Experience and the NFL on Xbox One, which features a live feed from the NFL Network. Fantasy Football content is also available of the Xbox One.
Xbox One was the best selling console in the U.S. for the month of December according NPD Group Data research.
The data indicated that the console sold around 908,000 units last month. Microsoft made their numbers public, but Sony did not, reported Polygon.
Xbox 360 sold over 643,000 units as well putting the combined Microsoft consoles at $1.39 billion in revenue, reported Polygon.
