Xbox One July System Update News: Snap Feature Patch, Simplified Gestures
Many find that the Xbox One can be labeled as a success eight months after its November 2013 launch. Following an announcement via Xbox Wire, made by Microsoft's Xbox Programming Director, Larry Hryb, (who also calls himself Major Nelson), Xbox One gamers can expect the July update to be unveiled soon.
According to Hryb, gamers can expect the new updates for the console to include improvements on the 'Snap' utility as well as modifications which aim to simplify the gestures required to activate certain features. 'Snap' is an exclusive feature of the Xbox One which allows gamers to multitask on the screen.
Unlike other traditional gaming consoles, the Xbox One was built for the long haul. So far, it's the only gaming console of its kind, designed with the ability to be updated consistently with new features and content (much like how Androids and iOS operating systems can be updated once in a while with newer features).
Armed with the very powerful octa-core x86 processor, an HDMI pass-through allows the user to watch cable TV through his or her Xbox without having to change the 'input' on their television. With its massive 500GB hard drive, 8GB of RAM, and Blu-ray technology, the Xbox One is undeniably cutting-edge technology.
Since its launch last year, a great number of games have been released and several game developers have confirmed release dates for Xbox One titles.
The third and the youngest in the Xbox generation, the eight-month old Xbox One still remains to be a promising gaming console. The original Xbox was first launched by Microsoft in 2001, and proved to be a huge success, despite tight competition with other gaming giants like Sony, Nintendo, and Sega. Xbox became the first American gaming console after the company Atari ceased production in the late 1990's.
