Xbox Games with Gold October 2014 Release Date News, Rumors: 'Halo Reach', 'Battlefield: Bad Company 2' [VIDEO]
In latest Xbox Games with Gold October 2014 news, the extremely popular first person shooter games 'Halo Reach' and 'Battlefield: Bad Company 2' are among the games rumored to be offered to gamers to download for free in the near future, but for only a limited time.
The aforementioned 'Halo' game was the final installment created by its original developer Bungie after the company split from Microsoft to become its own independent company in 2007.
"After Reach that's it for us," said Bungie's Lars Bakken to IGN in 2009, "We're already working on a new IP that we can't talk about yet, I don't know when we'll be talking about it - when we're ready I suppose. If you look at Bungie's past we've done a lot of different styles - first person to third person to RTS - so it could be anything."
As a result, Microsoft's latest 'Halo 4' game was released by 343 Industries on November 6, 2012.
Now fans of the popular series await the much anticipated release of 'Halo 5: Guardians,' which is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of next year.
'Halo: Reach' is expected to be free to available to be download for Xbox Gold members until September 30.
The popular warfare game (starring protagonist Private Preston Marlowe) titled 'Battlefield: Bad Company 2' is anticipated to be released for free to gamers who are currently Xbox Gold members beginning on October 1.
Like 'Battlefield: Bad Company 2' and 'Halo Reach', 'Darksiders 2' is another critically acclaimed game that was original released on the Xbox 360 that is also expected available for gamers in the near future.
'Darksiders 2' (starring Death from the infamous Four Hourseman, loosely based on the characters depicted in the last book of the Bible: Revelation) is expected to be available to download for free until Halloween.
