Xbox Games With Gold List, November 2014 Predictions: New Free Games 'Volgarr the Viking', 'Red Faction: Guerrilla'

Microsoft has finally released the names of some titles that will available for free download for the month of November to all Xbox Games with Gold subscribers. Players with a membership will be able to keep the games permanently on their Xbox 360 or Xbox One consoles.

First on the list is 'Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise' on Xbox 360 (normally $14.99). The game will be free for Xbox Live Gold members starting Saturday, November 1 all the way through November 15th.

Like it's predecessor, this game is primarily a sandbox title. Players must maintain a garden plot which they can decorate and customize in various ways. In the game, living piñata animals reside in the garden as they wander the area, sleeping, eating, and even mating.

Next is 'Red Faction: Guerrilla' also on Xbox 360, this title normally runs for $19.99. Games with Gold subscribers can download this game starting November 16 up until November 30.

This title marks the third game in the 'Red Faction' series, but is somewhat unlike the preceding titles. While it's still an open world third-person shooter, 'Red Faction: Guerrilla' does not allow the player to destroy their surrounding environment. However, players can destroy certain buildings and structures.

One of the most interesting things about this title is that during the campaign, the player is always equipped with a sledgehammer, which makes sense considering it's depicted on the game's cover.

Last but not least, 'Volgarr the Viking', will debut on Xbox One as a free download. This title takes Xbox One gamers back to the days of their youth, when games were harder and you only needed a few buttons to play it.

While some Xbox One players may not be too happy with a free 16-bit game instead of one with intense HD graphics, this game has received some relatively decent reviews. Metacritic gave this title a 76 out of 100.

On a side note, the 'Volgarr the Viking' normally costs $11.99.

That being said, Xbox 360 players will be able to keep the games they download with their Games with Gold memberships, even if they cancel their subscriptions. However, Xbox One members will not be allowed to access their console's games if they decide to stop paying the monthly fee.

Also, remember to grab October's free games while you still can, if you haven't already.
