WWE 2K15 Roster Reveal News: Sting Officially Confirmed by WWE HOF Announcer Jim Ross
In a new interview, former WWE announcer Jim Ross confirmed on the Steve Austin Show that Sting will finally appear in this year's WWE 2K15 game.
"He's in the big 2K15 game, Sting is. That's a big deal!, said Ross to Austin on the podcast show.
Sting was rumored to appear as pre-order character in the upcoming WWE 2K15 game which is expected to arrive in stores for the PS4 and the Xbox One on October 28. Now with Ross' new revelation, it appears that the Christian wrestler will appear in a WWE videogame for the first time ever.
However, many fans from the WWE Universe were sad when they found out "Good Ol' JR" will not do any voice-over work in the new WWE 2K15 game.
"LOL...nope," wrote Ross on his Twitter page on June 25 when he was asked by a fan if he would "be doing some commentary for [the] WWE 2K15" game.
Ross has been considered by many people in professional wrestling business (and fans alike) as one of the best announcers of all-time. He has called multiple memorable matches at WWE such as Stone Cold vs the Rock at Wrestlemania 19, Mankind vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell match at the King of the Ring in 1998 and Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25.
On last night's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Triple H and his real life wife Stephanie McMahon revealed that Cena will appear on the cover of the new game later this year.
"It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as the WWE 2K15 cover Superstar," said Cena in a statement.
WWE 2K15 will arrive in American stores on October 28 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
