WWE 2K15 Release Date News: Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 Launch Dates Revealed

2k Sports recently announced that the next installment of the popular "WWE 2K" gaming series will be released this fall on all major gaming consoles.

"Today we're confirming that WWE 2K15 will launch in the United States on October 28, and internationally on October 31. Furthermore, we can also confirm that it will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We're currently working with Amazon to open up our pre-order page for all available consoles. That's all for now! Thanks for your continued patience. We can't wait to blow the doors of this thing," wrote Jared2K, the Community and social media manager of 2K Games, on the official company's forum last week.

In addition, the gaming company also confirmed the release of the upcoming game on social media.

"Get Ready: #WWE2K15 launches on 10/28, internationally 10/31 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. pic.twitter.com/WOpSBP0h4T," wrote WWE 2K via Twitter on May 21.

When the game arrives this fall, fans wonder what will be next for the popular gaming franchise as its original Japanese developer Yukes no longer makes games based on the sports entertainment company.

In the popular "WWE 2K13," gamers were able to relive arguably the greatest period in WWE history: The Attitude Era. In the story mode, fans were able to reenact popular scenes from the years 1997-2000 by playing as legendary wrestlers The Rock, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Mick Foley, D-Generation X ("The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and "The Game" Triple H), Bret Hart, Kane and his half-brother (and Brothers of Destruction tag team partner) The Undertaker.

In last year's critically acclaimed "WWE 2K14," fans were able to react to some of the memorable matches from Wrestlemania history in the "30 Years of WrestleMania mode," such as Hulk Hogan vs Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania 3, Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 12 and The Rock's epic rivalry with Stone Cold at Wrestlemania's 15, 17 and 19 during the Attitude Era.

In addition, the late Ultimate Warrior appeared for the very first time in the "WWE 2K" series last year, allowing gamers to finally reenact his feuds with Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 6, and his match versus the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage at Wrestlemania 7.

Warrior passed away on April 8, 2014 at the age of 54.

"WWE 2K15" will arrive in American stores on October 28 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
