WWE 2K15 News, Rumors: Christian Wrestler Sting Appears in Game for First Time Ever?

In latest World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) news, Christian professional wrestler Sting will finally participate in the WWE as well as appear in the upcoming video game WWE 2K15.

Sting has been rumored to join WWE since its main competitor in the late 1990's (WCW) went out of business in 2001 during the "Monday Night Wars" era.

Some have argued that Sting is the greatest performer in professional wrestling history to have never worked with WWE, but that may soon change as it appears the former WCW and TNA World Champion is reportedly discussing a possible contract. He has previously turned down the organization, multiple times, due to his fears that his character would not be portrayed properly by Vince McMahon and his popular sports entertainment company. Sting believed he would have to re-established himself as a main event competitor just like some of his former WCW co-workers (Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page [aka DDP] and Scott Steiner to name a few) if he had joined the company in 2001. World Championship Wrestling (WCW) was bought out by Vince McMahon after billionaire Ted Turner and his wrestling agent Eric Bischoff could no longer afford to keep the company 13 years ago.

Now in 2014, Sting is apparently ready to finally make the jump to WWE and face the Undertaker at WrestleMania 31. The company is reported to have a casting call through Casting Networks, and find 14 men who will dress up as Sting wearing his iconic face paint in a upcoming promo that will air next week, according to a SEScoops report.

In addition, Sting and WWE will finally release a DVD on September 29, that will chronicle his entire career in WCW, where he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times against formidable opponents like Hulk Hogan, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and DDP to name a few.

Sting is expected to appear as pre-order character in the upcoming WWE 2K15 game which is expected to arrive in stores for the PS4 and the Xbox One on October 28.

Furthermore, Sting (whose real name is Steve Borden) has been a born again Christian since he accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior back in 1998, after years of living the party lifestyle (drugs and alcohol) as a wrestler.

"The Bible says it's easier for a camel to fit through the eye of a needle than a rich man to make it into heaven, and I know being rich is all relative, but I had as much money as I needed. I could travel wherever I wanted to go, I could buy whatever I wanted to buy, and I didn't need God - or, at least, so I thought. The biggest match of my life was against God, and he thankfully wrestled me down to the ground before it was too late," said Sting in an interview with the Baltimore Sun three years ago.

He also talked about the dangers of working in professional wrestling, where some entertainers use strong language and themes.

"...Jesus Christ himself went in amongst the sinners - the murderers, the adulterers, the idolaters, the drunkards, and so on and so forth. And he didn't come to judge them, he came to save them, be a doctor to them. I'm not putting myself on that level obviously, but at the same time, we are in the world, we are not of the world, if we are believers. I'm not going to put myself in a shell - it's just not going to work that way. You have to get out there somehow or another and try to be a light or be the salt of the earth, and that's all I've tried to do. As far as the content goes, I will only involve myself in situations that will not jeopardize my walk or my witness. You won't hear vulgar things coming out of my mouth or sexual innuendos and all that kind of stuff," said Sting.
