If a recent report is to be believed, then 'Wolverine 3' director James Mangold has revealed the plot of the upcoming movie. According to the director, 'Wolverine 3' will possibly follow the storyline of the comic book, 'Wolverine: Old Man Logan'.

Screenrant quotes Hugh Jackman as saying, "Well, of course we're looking at 'Old Man Logan', because that may be the only option left at this point! [Laughs] We are looking at a lot of different storylines. No one has jumped out. You can tell from my answer that we're still working it out.

He went on to say, "I'm working with Jim Mangold, which is exciting. Jim came on board 'The Wolverine' after Darren [Aronofsky] left, so he inherited it. And of all the things that Jim can do, one of the great things he does is develop scripts. I'm excited to see what we can come up with, but I haven't signed on signed on. I'm genuinely at that point where unless it's better than the last one I'm not going to do it."

Earlier, ComicBookMovie reported that a blogger indicated that four characters will face Logan in 'Wolverine 3'. These characters include Daken, Cyber, and Omega Red.

The website further reported that Sabretooth will also be joining the 'Wolverine 3' cast, while rumors are afloat that Liev Schreiber is currently in talks with the producers to reprise his role as Logan's half-brother/mortal enemy. However, as of now, there is no confirmation regarding Schreiber's participation in the project.

As far as 'Deadpool' is concerned, it was recently revealed that the Deadpool movie is currently in the works and it will give Marvel fans an opportunity to see the "real" Wade Wilson in the X-Men film franchise.
