Winter Jam Tour’s Record-Setting 23 Sellouts In 24 Cities / Tour’s 2nd Leg Underway

Winter Jam is halfway through one of its most popular tours yet. Playing in 24 cities so far, Winter Jam has had a record setting 23 sellouts to date. Over 19,000 showed at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and 18,000 came to the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. Nearly 16,000 fans yelled at the North Carolina's Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte. Winter Jam's attendance has almost exceeded 300,000 with 20 concerts left to play.

This year's Winter Jam headliner is Grammy award-winning recording artist Toby Mac. Also featuring RED, Matthew West, Jamie Grace, Sidewalk Prophets and Royal Tailor, the 44-city tour launched is 18th year January 4 of this year.

In face, Winter Jam has been the #1 attended tour (first quarter) in the world for two years in a row beating out mainstream acts like Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. Founded and hosted by Grammy nominated New Song, Winter Jam was created in 1995, and has featured Christian Contemporary's biggest acts. It's been a huge influence on modern day worship.

Winter Jam stops in Cincinnati's U.S. Bank Arena tonight and hits Chicago's Sears Center Arena, Memphis's Fed Ex Forum, and Cleveland's Wolstein Center within the next couple weeks. The Winter Jam 2013 tour warps up at San Antonio's At&T Center March 30th.
