'Winds of Winter' Release Date, Spoilers: Sansa Stark on Killing Spree?
Fans of George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Fire and Ice' have been anxiously waiting for the sixth installment of the novel series, entitled 'Winds of Winter'. Patrons of Mr. Martin's epic novels have noticeably doubled over the years thanks to HBO's blockbuster hit TV adaptation of 'A Song of Fire and Ice' - 'Game of Thrones'.
In a recent conference with 'A Song of Fire and Ice' fans held at the Freemasons Hall in London, the 'Winds of Winter' author divulged that he started creating stories at a very young age, and even at a young age, torture was already part of his imagination. Ruthless tortures in George R.R. Martin's novels have always made him a subject of controversy, yet ironically, it would seem as though the unnecessary brutality in his stories was actually what made it interesting to its audience.
With the forthcoming new season of Game of Thrones just around the corner, fans still can't seem to get enough of the monarchical drama and adventures that Martin's books encompass. Although the 'Winds of Winter' installment of Martin's iconic series of novels has not been given an official release date as of yet, the author did reveal that quite a number of the series' main characters will die in 'A Song of Fire and Ice' book six.
Meanwhile, 'Game of Thrones' star Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), told Vulture that she would love for her character to go on a killing spree.
What with all the hurt and betrayal Lady Stark has gone through since the start of series, it is only natural for her to desire revenge. In addition, with the 'Winds of Winters' author revelation that a number of characters are going to die in the book's latest installment, there is a chance that Turner just might get what she wants after all.
