Wii U Update 4.03 Rolled Out by Nintendo Today to Fix Minor Performance and Stability Issues

Wii U's system update 4.03 was rolled out today, and aims to fix small stability and performance issues.

The last update Nintendo released was back in September, which saw major features added such as SpotPass. Other smaller updates over the last few months have included Wii U menu layout changes with particular attention on the Friends List, USB keyboard support, better Internet browser use, and audio and video output for the GamePad, reported Wii U Daily.

In other recent news a Wii Sports Club Bundle has been confirmed for a March 27 release on the Wii U in Japan.

According to Video Gamer, the bundle will include a 32GM Wii U, Wii Sports Club, Wii Remote Plus, GamePad, and the sensor bar.

The bundle was announced in Japan during a Nintendo Direct on February 13, but not much was said about it. There is no word on whether the bundle will be leaving Japan.

Nintendo also recently announced that the Wii U Virtual Console will be getting Game Boy Advance games this April in both the U.S. and Japan.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata made the announcement at the last Nintendo Direct presentation.

Among the first confirmed games for the Virtual Console are: Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 with new games being added every month.

Japan will receive Super Mario World, WarioWare, Golden Sun, F-Zero, and Advance Wars. On April 30, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, Wario Land 4, Mario Tennis Advance, and Mario & Luigi RPG will be added.

A lot of Game Boy Advance games are already available online for the 3DS, and it is questionable as to why the games are not being put out with a focus on handheld. Either way, early comments and reactions for the news have been in favor of the idea as Nintendo continues to bring its classics back.
