A Wii Sports Club Bundle has been confirmed for a March 27 release on the Wii U in Japan.

According to Video Gamer, the bundle will include a 32GM Wii U, Wii Sports Club, Wii Remote Plus, GamePad, and the sensor bar.

The bundle was announced in Japan during a Nintendo Direct on February 13, but not much was said about it. There is no word on whether the bundle will be leaving Japan.

Nintendo has been struggling with sales of their next-gen console, and just last week surpassed the Xbox 360 in sales in Japan.

According to Eurogamer the almost 10 year old 360 has lifetime sales of 1,641,528, and now the Wii U hit 1,643,000 plus. The console sells between eight and nine thousand a week while the 360 moves a couple hundred a week at this point.

It is important to note that the American made Microsoft consoles have not fared well in Japan compared to their Japanese counterparts. Perhaps a more notable sales total to compare would be against Sony's PS3, which has sold 9.8 million along with another 2.5 for the PS Vita handheld. The Wii U has quite a bit to go to play catch up.

Nintendo is forecasting in 2014 they will sell 13.5 million 3DS handhelds, and 2.8 million Wii U's. Initially the prediction was for 18 million handhelds and 9 million home consoles.
