Who Goes Home on American Idol on FOX Tonight?
Last night's "American Idol" was all about Motown and Detroit City.
The top eight singers picked music from Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, and The Temptations to Eminem and Kid Rock. This weeks judge was the legend himself, Smokey Robinson.
Candice Glover, kicked off the show with Marvin Gaye's "Heard it Through the Grapevine." Glover was an specacular and all four judges agreed.
Lazaro Arbos was up next and sang "For Once in My Life" by Stevie Wonder. Arbos had a strong performance but could still be in the bottom three. Judge Randy Jackson chimed in with, "I don't know if you completely redeemed yourself but it was far better than last week."
Janelle Arthur sang the Supremes song "Keep Me Hangin' On" with a country twist to it. Mariah Carey praised the performance saying, "Janelle at her finest."
Devin Velez went with mentor Smokey Robinson's "The Track of My Tears." All of the judges seemed pleased with Velez's performance except judge with Keith Urban.
Burnell Taylor sang Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour." Taylor gave arguably the best performance of the night from the guy, judge Nicki Minaj added "very, very good." Angie Miller next sang The Miracles' "Shop Around". Miller has been the darling of the evening, but did not impress with her performance last night.
Amber Holcomb sings Stevie Wonder's "Lately" and once great again. She has one of the best natural singing voices on this season. Mariah called her the "tour de force."
Kree Harrison performed the last solo performance of the night with Aretha Franklin's "Don't Play That Song." Kree was solid again and is still expected to be in top 3 at the end.
Who do you think will end up going home tonight? Was Miller's one bad performance enough to get her in the bottom 3? We will be watching to see what happens.
