Following the monumental launch of the Playstation 4 for Sony back in November of last year, the electronic gaming giant recently announced plans for a September 9 release of the latest edition to the world-famous gaming console.

According to reports, Sony Computer Entertainment President Shuhei Yoshida announced that the highly coveted version of the Sony Playstation 4 would be launched hand-in-hand with the also highly-anticipated 'Destiny' game in September.

Yoshida said the Sony Glacier White Playstation 4 will initially be released bundled with 'Destiny' in Europe and in America about two weeks from now. 'Destiny' is the latest first person shooter game developed by the same team who created 'Halo' (Bungie), and will be published by the 'Call of Duty' game publishers. Yoshida also revealed that the gaming giant plans to launch the white Playstation 4 independently from the game later in the year.

The white Sony Playstation 4 'Destiny' bundle is expected to retail at around USD $499, while the price tag for the stand-alone Glacier White PS4 console has yet to be announced.

According to reports, the white Sony Playstation PS4 bundle possesses features exclusive only to the 'Destiny' bundle buyers, such as a Mars Destiny strike mission, a competitive player map, and a larger selection of ships, weapons, and ammunition.

The launch of the Sony Playstation 4 gaming console late last year has reportedly brought Sony's already drowning market share back to life, selling an incredibly remarkable 10 million units since its launch in November 2013. With the upcoming launch of the Glacier White edition of the PS4, those figures are only expected to increase substantially.
