When Does Daylight Savings Time End In 2014? Do Clocks Go Back or Forwards?

In many thriving economies with busy individuals, the practice of Daylight Savings Time is a part of the culture. Daylight Savings Time, otherwise known as DST, is a practice where people set their clocks an hour ahead or behind according to the seasons- in order to save time and energy.

Not every country utilizes this intriguing custom as many individuals believe it is not necessary, however, many countries such as the U.S, observe DST and make use of its benefits.

This year, DST for the U.S started on March 9 at 2:00 am and clocks were set forward to 3:00 am. The next change is due November 2, when all clocks will be set an hour back. Due to the difference in the time zones, other countries have different dates and times for DST.

For example, while Mexico will be ending their DST on Sunday, October 26, setting their clocks backwards to 1:00 am, Australia will be forwarding their clocks on Sunday, October 5 at 2:30 am and 3:00 am.

It's easy to forget when the clocks change. Mobile phones, tablets and computers connected to the internet should change automatically, while ovens or clocks will need to be changed manually.
