Colton Dixon, a former contestant on the 11^th season of American Idol, has excitedly asked his fans for help in finding the cover for his new song " Never Gone." Colton Dixon was eliminated off of the show after making it to the final rounds of the top ten contenders on Idol. Since elimination, Colton Dixon has made an introduction into the music world by befriending some of the top celebrities in Hollywood.  By being a guest on shows such as Ellen , Access Hollywood, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno , Colton Dixon has made a name for himself in the public eye. 

His new album "The Messenger" is a selection of both Christian and Gospel songs  that he wrote or helped co-write during the making of his released debut. "I'm the kind of artist that thinks everyone should write their own songs, it means more that way." stated Colton of his new album. The meaning behind his album was derived from Coltons religious beliefs  and how he rest on God for all of his troubles during times of need, and that God is ultimately the main provider for all things.  " We have all been little kids and needed the lights turned on at night, and for me "Never Gone" was my way of turning on the lights and making sure that God is still there. Its basically saying that God is everything that were not."

Colton Dixon started his search for the top three contestants on March 14^th  and began by posting a short video on YouTube to his fans explaining the featured contest. The contestants are to send in a video clip of he/she or said band of them singing the song "Never Gone."  Colton Dixon is allowing his fan base to ultimately make the final decision on who will be the top contestants for the contest. The deadline was set for March 28^th and the videos are already piling in for Colton to see each individual fans talent. The fans will choose the top three finalist and from there the three individuals will be showcased on Coltons Facebook page.  The top finalist will be acknowledged on his page ,as well as receive the opportunity to cover Coltons song with extra surprises along the way. The final contestants will be announced by April 5^th .
