'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Spoilers, Recap: Episode 5 - 'Self Help', Carol Plays Trojan Horse Card?

The latest episode of 'The Walking Dead' Season 5 showcased exactly what happened to Beth Greene after she was kidnapped in Season 4. However, after Sunday night's "Slabtown" viewers were left with more questions than they got answers as yet another cliffhanger ended Episode 4.

Recapping some of the events in the latest episode of 'The Walking Dead', which aired November 2, Beth Greene seems to have evolved into a strong young woman, compared to how she started out early on in the series.

In Episode 4, viewers saw Beth scope out her situation in the hospital which operated under the tyrannical leadership of Officer Dawn Lerner. Realizing that she's been kidnapped (literally) into a potentially deadly situation, she quickly decides that she's going to have to find a way out.

While most of the people living at the hospital seem friendly and helpful at first, it's quickly revealed who the bad guys really are. Clearly the officers are the bad guys, as power seems to have swollen their heads, and the subordinates - those forced into labor - are the one's who have newcomer Beth's back.

Some can argue that the Dr. Steven Edwards is also one of the bad guys, but others think his questionable actions are simply survival instincts. For those that may not know, he tricks Beth into killing a patient at the hospital because he's an oncologist. While he seemingly looks guilty about it when Beth confronts him, he reveals that Officer Dawn would have him killed and have the new doctor take his place.

Toward the end of the episode, Noah - a young man that has fallen victim to Officer Lerner's iron first for over a year attempts to escape with Beth. In a cinematically slow motion blur set of events, Noah squeezes through the chain link fence while Beth is apprehended by Lerner's goons.

Episode 4, "Slabtown" ends in a cliffhanger as Beth noticed Carol being is rolled in on a stretcher.

Stepping into spoilers and predictions, the promotional video for Episode 5 reveals that Abraham and a few of the other survivors take to the road in an attempt to get Eugene to Washington.

However, what's left unanswered is who's going to come out of the woods with Daryl? Fans can recall that the cliffhanger at end of Episode 3, which is entitled "Four Walls and a Roof," depicted him beckoning one or more people out from the shadows of the forest.

In terms of predictions, many users via Reddit seemed to agree with a viewpoint about what's in store in the upcoming episodes of the series. In a discussion thread, 'Walking Dead' fans agreed that Noah will cross paths with Daryl who's searching for Beth after spotting the Season 4 kidnapper's car.

After that, Noah, Daryl, and Carol will head to the hospital in order to spring Beth. Noah knows the hospital layout, and Daryl and Carol have accomplished goals like this in the past, so they make a pretty decent team.

On a side note, one user posted an interesting idea about Carol's appearance at the end of Episode 4, he or she said, "Saw someone else hypothesize that Carol is playing a Trojan horse card."

While there's no way to know for sure, what's in store on 'The Walking Dead', the next episode is not far off, as it airs Sunday, November 9, at 9 pm on AMC.
