Recently, 'The Walking Dead' Season 5 premiered at a red carpet event in LA, and some of the main casts of the show were interviewed. Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, and Emily Kinney, who plays Beth Greene, revealed some interesting things about themselves and their characters.

Indiewire got the the chance to speak with the actors and actresses of 'The Walking Dead' at the event, and posed a mixed bag of questions.

First off, the cast members were asked about what they're excited for the most, in the upcoming season.

Kinney's answer was not surprising, as her character hasn't appeared on the show since her kidnapping, she said, "I'm excited for the fans to finally get to see where Beth is and see how she deals with her new circumstances. And also there are so many awesome new characters and I think that's exciting."

Reedus on the other hand stressed that Season 5 will pick up fairly quickly, and keep a rapid pace, "These characters are so different from when we first started off. We come flying out of the gate in the fifth year, it's that way the whole time."

Adding, "It's kind of like if in the Terminus car that we're in, you took a rubber ball and you just smashed it and it goes, boing-boing-boing. It's so all over the place. In the best way."

After that, the two were asked about any surprises their characters might have in store for fans of 'The Walking Dead'.

Kinney said, "Yes. She's definitely going to have to step it up a little. And I think you're going to see her use what she learned last season in this season."

While Reedus shared a similar sentiment, "Yeah, some crazy stuff happens. I mean with all of us. There are certain characters whose journeys are just whoa! Same with Daryl. All of us are like that this year."

Stepping away from the movie, some of the cast members were asked what their favorite horror movie was. Reedus apparently took a liking to 'The Exorcist' but preferred another classic film, he said, "Yeah. 'The Exorcist,' I love that. 'The Omen' was my favorite movie as a kid."

Kinney seems to be quite the horror movie buff as she marathons certain films around Halloween ever year. "I am! I love the 'Scream' movies. I love 'I Know What You Did Last Summer.' I love also 'Hocus Pocus.' When Halloween starts to come around I start watching it when they play the marathons. So that's a big one for me," she said to Indiewire.

Last but not least, Reedus was asked which weapon he'd personally use against a bunch of "walkers." Reedus simply said, "Flamethrower."

'The Walking Dead' returns to AMC for Season 5 on October 12 with Episode 1, "No Sanctuary."
