"The Voice" News: Judith Hill Reflects on her shocking elimination, Talks about her future
The Voice's surging powerful performer Judith Hill was shockingly eliminated from this week. Coach Adam Levine was also stunned, saying, "I hate this country" when Judith and his other team member Sarah Simmons found themselves facing elimination.
Judith's elimination from was the most shocking one during Season 4. Hill made an impression on the audience early on, becoming a fan favorite since her time singing with late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Hill was originally slated to be on the "This Is It" tour.
"It was crazy. It felt like 'The Hunger Games' up there on that thing and you just never know," Judith said of her elimination.
Monday night's performance Will.i.am's "#thatPOWER," featuring Justin Bieber was a risky move, but Judith had newfound confidence after singing "The Way You Make Me Feel" last week. "You know, I don't know what happened. I keep scratching my head like, 'What could it have been?' Maybe the song was new and it wasn't familiar to people," Judith said of her choice to sing "#thatPOWER."
When asked about her coach, Adam Levine, and his seemingly "unpatriotic comments", Judith told E! News, "Adam was pretty bummed and very passionate about both of us and he just said, 'You know, it's a game show and you guys both deserve to be here.'"
But Judith fans: have no fear. The singer told The Wall Street Journal blog Speakeasy that she's working on a record. "I have written a lot of songs and I hope to have it finished in the next couple of months," she said.
