"The Voice" on NBC: Michael Jackson Back up Singer Judith Hill Wins Epic Singing Battle. Watch Here (VIDEO)
"The Voice" continued on NBC last night. The first phase of the show has the judges picking the contestants for their teams, Team Adam(Levine), Team Blake(Shelton), Team Shakira and Team Usher. Up to this point in the season, they have been going through the "Blind Auditions" to fill each team.
Well now that the spots on the teams are full, they move onto the next phase of the show called the "Battle Rounds". This is where the coach/team leader picks two of their own team to sing against each other on the same song. Then the coach has to pick the winner, sending one of their own team home. The "Battle Rounds" seem to be the most emotional for the coaches since they are dealing with their own team and the fate of their contestants.
Last night, Team Adam had a epic singing battle that some, including Adam, have called one of the best on "The Voice" to date. He had singers Judith Hill vs Karina Iglesias.
Judith Hill was the clear favorite as she holds the title of Michael Jackson back up singer and she backed it up with a flawless performance in her "blind audition". However Karina brought it in their "Battle Round" not backing down to Judith. Both ladies were on point (as you can see above) and it would prove to be a very hard decision to pick a winner.
In the end, Adam picked Judith Hill to win the battle and stay to move on in the competition. As well as Karina held her ground, picking Judith was the safe pick moving forward as Judith probably will have more selling appeal in the long run. However, Shakira used a "steal" to save Karina from going home and she will now be on Team Shakira for the rest of the competition.
So whether you like Judith Hill or Karina Iglesias, you will get to see more performances from both on the show.
Which do you think has a better chance of winning the show?
