The Voice Judges Sit Down With Oprah, Answer Questions About Their Teams, Strategies, and More

The Voice judges know what it takes to get to the top. And, in the world of singing-reality-shows, it's a free for all right now. So, their expertise is needed more than ever, not just for the contestants, but for the show as well.

Recently, the gang sat down for a special hour of "Oprah's Next Chapter." Oprah Winfrey herself sat down to talk with all four current coaches from NBC's The VoiceAdam Levine, Blake Shelton, Usher and Shakira. But, some of the most interesting conversation came from her time with show host Carson Daly. He responded to criticism that has recently surfaced against The Voice, that the show has yet to produce a megaster in the mold of Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson

Oprah asked Daly, standing alongside Usher, point blank about the judgement lobbed the show's way. Daly responded, "Oprah, when did the endgame become success? And what does it mean to be successful? What does it mean to be a breakout star? [The artists] are breakout stars. Would it be nice if one of them had a number one hit according to Billboard's Top 100? Sure. Will it happen? Probably."

Usher added, "And they've come close." Daly followed with, "And it doesn't come without work. Luck favors the prepared." Oprah loved Daly's final comment, telling the host, "I'll be using that quote."

We'll all be using that quote and staying tuned to see which of the contestants on NBC's The Voice will be the first to break out. It could happen sooner than we think.
