"The Voice": Christian Singers The Swon Brothers Move on In The Battle Rounds Tonight (VIDEO)

"The Voice" on NBC continued tonight with the first round of the second phase of the show called the "Battle Rounds".  Christian Porter and The Swon Brothers sang a duet of "Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty.  The Swon Brothers had the advantage of years of playing together while Christian had the challenge of hitting a high note that had been a struggle for him in the rehearsals.

Christian came out strong and hit the note that alluded him in rehearsals, but The Swon Brothers gave a solid performance as well.  It was a very even battle and their Coach Blake admitted that it was so close that he said he just wanted to stick with what he knew more.

Blake ended up going with fellow "Okies" The Swon Brothers, so they move another step closer to making the final rounds.

Christian singers,The Swon Brothers have been a spark to the "The Voice" as there are very few duos in the competition.  They are brothers, Colton and Zach Swon from Muskogee,Ok.  They grew up around music, parents were in a southern gospel group and played in several churches growing up.  They performed the song "American Girl" for the "blind auditions".  About half way through their performance it looked like no judges might turn around.

However, at the end of their performance both Shakira and Blake Shelton turned around.  They had the funny line after they sang, they told the judges and audience, "you have just experienced your first 'swoncert'.  Of course, they ended up going with fellow Oklahoman, Blake Shelton, to join his team.
