'The Voice' 2013: Judges Usher, Blake Shelton Chose Teams in "Knockout Rounds PART 2" [VIDEO]
Part two of The Voice 2013 knockout rounds aired last night on NBC. Adam Levine and Shakira trimmed their teams down to four singers each on Monday night, and last night it was Usher and Blake Shelton's turn.
Team Blake's Savannah Berry and Justin Rivers kicked the night off with Justin Beiber's "As Long As You Love Me" and "The Climb" respectively. Though Usher praised Savanah's confidence Blake ultimately chose Justin Rivers instead.
Now Team Usher is up. Josiah Hawley chose to rock classic, "Back To Black" while Jess Kilner sang "You Give Me Something" by British songwriter James Morrison. The crowd was on Jess's side but Usher wasn't. Joasiah made it through to the live shows.
Next on Team Blake was Holly Tucker vs. Luke Edgeman. Holly sand "Live Like Your Dying" while Luke chose "Teenage Dream". Both Shakira and Adam Levine would've chosen Luke. Unfortunately for the North Carolina native, Blake is his coach. Holly lived to see another day.
Usher's turn again. Indie babe, Audrey Kurresh faced off against the somewhat less dynamic Michelle Shamuelle. Kurresh, who sang "Out of Love" may have looked the part but Michelle ("Raise Your Glass") dominated with much stronger vocals. The Voice judges were unanimous and Usher chose Michelle.
Blake Shelton's team was next. Danielle Bradbury and Taylor Beckham dueled with completely different songs. The Voice favorite, "Jesus Take the Wheel" was sang by Danielle while Taylor chose Rihanna's racy number "Russian Roulette. Danielle's performance and song choice was nothing short of boring while Taylor Beckham's was electric. Blake Shelton shocks the rest of the judges and chooses Danielle. He does praise Taylor's performance.
To round out their teams of four Usher chooses Veno and Catia, while Blake ends the night choosing The Swan Borthers.
