After all the rumors about 'The Vampire Diaries' trinity quitting the show, the one about Nina Dobrev (who plays Elena Gilbert), seemed to be the most pressing. It is also reported that one of the biggest reasons for quitting the show concerns her ex, Ian Somerhalder, and his PDA with his current girlfriend, Nikki Reed.

It is reported that Dobrev has grown tired of Somerhalder parading his new relationship while they are shooting.

According to Inquistr, Reed's constant visits during filming might have created a very uncomfortable situation for Dobrev. It is also possible that it caused difficulty with Dobrev trying to keep a professional relationship with Somerhalder.

On a side note, Reed and Somerhalder seemed to be rushing their relationship. They are already living together in a home in Atlanta, where Season 6 is being shot. According to some eyewitness, Reed is being cautious about a reunion between the 'Vampire Diaries' stars. She allegedly goes to the set almost every day just to check if the two are spending more time together than necessary.

However, Celebrity Dirty Laundry says Dobrev's exit has nothing to do with Somerhalder and Reed.
