For the premiere episode of 'Vampire Diaries' Season 6, "I'll Remember," Stefan (Paul Wesley) will have a new profession and home outside Mystic Falls.

In the trailer, he was shown talking to Elena (Nina Dobrev) about Damon (Ian Somerhalder). According to TV Guide, Stefan will be very central in the new episode, where he will be seen in his new home.

Moreover, it is not Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) who will have a new job, but Stefan. Stefan will have a surprisingly new job which can be done in his new home, TV Guide reports. However, they did not disclose what the new profession will be.

Damon and Bonnie's death would be the main reason why Stefan left Mystic Falls.

Paul Wesley teased in an interview during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con, that his character will not be seen by the others. He said that Stefan is still looking for Damon and Bonnie, "He's doing his thing and he's completely disinterested, he's apathetic, he's given up," he said.

As for Elena, she is expected to be devastated by the death of her best friend, Bonnie. In the trailer, it was shown that she was having a hard time accepting the death until the bad boy appeared and told her to move on. Some fans think this could be a wake-up call for Elena.

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 airs on October 2 at 8 pm EST on CW Network.
