‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 6 Spoilers: Emotions Run High, Two Characters Come Together In Episode 3?

Julie Plec, the executive producer of 'The Vampire Diaries', says Season 6 is will showcase some of the main characters acting crazy, but in an exciting and fresh kind of way.

"Vampire Diaries this season is so fun and fresh and so exciting to write," Plec told E! Online, "All the characters are all going through all this crazy stuff that is deeply rooted in their own emotional experience."

Stefan, played by Paul Wesley, will be making some emotional decisions in Season 6 according to the series' EP. Known to be the last living man of the Salvatore family, he will be determined to shape the kind of life he wants this time and will not necessarily affect anybody he knows for now.

Season 6 of the TV series started off four months after Season 5. The last episode showed the death of Bonnie and Damon trapped inside the rubble on the Other Side. This resulted in Caroline, Elena and Stefan handling changes quite poorly as shown in the premiere of the new season.

Michael Malarkey, who plays Enzo, is back in his mysterious form as always. As the next episode approaches, viewers were given a treat in the form of a spoiler in the sneak peek.

Caroline, played by Candice Accola, and Enzo will be doubling efforts to bring back lost characters in the previous season, Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, and Bonnie, played by Kat Graham.

Meanwhile, executive producer Caroline Dries said Enzo's character is "up to something" and his unknown intentions will affect Damon and Stefan's stories. Dries also revealed that Stefan and Enzo will have varying reactions on Damon's death.

The EP also hinted that Caroline and Enzo will be doing a lot of flirting in the upcoming episodes.

"We'll continue to have that dynamic between the two," she added.

In "Yellow Ledbetter," next episode's title, viewers will know Alaric's answers to Elena's appeal. While the second episode will revolve around hints on Damon and Bonnie's real situation, fans will also have to prepare for Stefan and Elena's kiss in the third episode.

Season 6 of 'The Vampire Diaries' airs Thursday at 8:00 pm on the CW.
