The sixth season of the popular television series 'The Vampire Diaries' is set to be full of dramatic and shocking moments that have already fueled many of the rumors and spoilers about it online.

In Season 6, fans will see Stefan turn into an unlikely person following the death of Damon, his brother. Bonnie and Damon get trapped on the Other Side after they save Elena and Stefan. Also, he will seek comfort in Caroline, so fans might expect things to turn romantic between them. Enzo, the enemy turned friend, is another person Stefan will seek comfort with.

Actress Gabrielle Walsh has been signed up for a recurring role in the vampire series. She will play Sarah, a new comer in Mystic Falls.

She is "ambitious, full of life experience, but also acts a little like she has something to hide," a report described her. Either Matt or Jeremy might hit it off with Sarah as their love interest, sources indicate. Matt is the possible pair since Jeremy has not yet gotten over Bonnie.

Also, rumors suggest that this season might be the final installment of 'The Vampire Diaries'.

The contracts of the three main actors are valid only until the end of the season, and if the show is to continue, it will restart altogether. Speculation also suggest that Elena will die, so that she can unite with her love. With Damon set to remain as a ghost in Season 6, fans need to wait until they can find out if Elena and Damon ever reunite.
