The Vampire Diaries returns with the Season 5 Episode 4 premiere. Tonight's episode "For Whom the Bell Tolls" airs tonight at 8 PM ET on The CW.

In last week's episode Stefan was saved from the bottom of the lake. Though the younger Salvatore brother is back, his memory isn't. In the trailer promo for tonight's episode, him and his older brother Damon are enjoying a few drinks at the bar while they catch up on the last two hundred years. Elena comes by the Mystic Falls Grill to see the two.

"And here I thought catching up on nearly two centuries would be a drag."

Stefan, who is still catching up on his two-century long past ask Elena, "Remind me of your name again?"

She turns to her boyfriend: "You haven't told him about me?"

Damon responds: "Two hundred years is a long time."

It doesn't take Elena long to find out what Damon is doing. Her current boyfriend is purposefully not telling Stefan about his previous relationship with Elena. We know from the Season 5 premiere that Damon is jealous of Elena and Stefan's past and obvious connection. So he decides to omit reminding his brother about their relationship.
