'Vampire Diaries' Season 5 Spoilers: 'Vampire Diaries' Producer Julie Plec: Jeremy Will "Struggle" / Ian Somerhalder Tours Russia [TRAILER]

After a monstrously successful Season 4, Vampire Diaries Season 5 will return as part of CW's Fall 2013 lineup.

According to Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec, the newly transformed human, Jeremy will have a hard time coming to terms with his new role.

"Jeremy will not have a very easy time of it. His first big hurdle is his cover story for being suddenly alive. So he'll struggle a bit with the return to the normal world."

Plec also explains how difficult it will be for Bonnie to remain a ghost while her friends are in danger and in need of help. Jeremy made it clear she wants to keep her a secret. Will that strenthen of destroy their relationship?

Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon on Vampire Diaries is using his time in the offseason to engage about his whereabouts. He recently informed fans he'd be on a promotional tour through Russia and would even be appearing on a popular Russian talk show later in the week.

Somerhalder shared with fans via Instagram about his experience filming the talk show in Russia.

"Just finished Russian talk show Ivan Urgant! So fun talking The Ivana Chubbuck Technique and doing a sexual fantasy exercise with some unsuspecting audience member. Thank you Irina for letting me mentally undress you TV. The show airs on May 29th in Russia. (sic)."

Vampire Diaries Season 5 will air this fall on The CW,Thursdays at 8 PM ET, before new show Reign.
