We know from the Season 5 premiere, Stefan is missing. Elena knows she has to find a way to find him, but also knows she can't tell Damon. She goes to Sheriff Forbes to help find Damon's brother.

Fresh on to campus and there's already a murder. Elena and Caroline can't escape the drama! For some reason though someone is trying to cover up the murder. Elena and Carolina receive a tip from a student at Whitmore name Jesse. The info points to Wes Maxfield, a professor on campus.

Meanwhile, Silas is trying to find Katherine. On behalf of Damon's request, Matt and Jeremy do their best to try and keep her hidden. Obviously Silas will find some way to complicate things.
