Valve's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Operation Breakout Info Update, New Weapons Cases
The latest addition to the iconic Counter-Strike series, entitled Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, has just received six new and highly rated community-created maps in a DLC set at $5.99.
Operation Breakout will provide players with the most recent and top maps available from the "Steam Workshop." The six maps are BlackGold, Castle, Insertion, Mist, Overgrown and Rush. They are set and playable in casual, deathmatch, and competitive modes for all players until October 2. This allows players to try the maps and find out if it will be worth it for them to purchase the DLC.
Of course, players will receive a visible coin icon if they decide to purchase the additional content. The coin appears along side their name with any other achievements they might have obtained, all on the scoreboard during any competitive or casual matches.
Additional rewards stem from the new update such as new missions that offer awards for the completion of certain in-game tasks. For example players with Operation Breakout who tally up enough kills with a certain gun in a particular match will receive a reward. These prizes include weapon skins and finishes from three new groups, the Baggage Collection, the Overpass Collection, and the Cobblestone Collection.
Players with the new DLC can expect to receive new weapons cases if they happened to earn one at the end of a match. Along with the already randomly disbursed weapons cases, a new Operation Breakout Case will be among the possibilities for lucky gamers. Regrettably, players will still have to purchase keys and open them in order to unlock the alluring new weapon designs and styles.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was set for $7.99 during the Steam Summer Sale 2014, but once again rests at its usual $14.99 for Mac and Windows users through Steam.
