Last Monday's episode of "Under the Dome' was filled with many chilling moments. The episode, entitled "Force Majeure" surpassed every fan based expectation for the CBS drama.

As the townspeople gathered at the diner to take a survey of what sort of supplies they'll need, a storm of blood-like rain began to pour. The blood turns out to be acidic, burning any resident who was out in the open. The town barber, Lyle, told Big Jim that he believed the rain to be one of the plagues of the apocalypse. However, Rebecca, the schoolteacher, is convinced that there's a scientific reason behind the phenomenon. Big Jim is now torn whether to believe in science, or if the bloody rain was an act of God.

Prior to the storm of blood, Rebecca had sent Joe, Norrie, and the mysterious girl into the school to retrieve something. When the trio arrives at the school, they discover that the Dome has Internet access. The first thing they do is to check Twitter, and they learn that 'The Dome' is a trending topic among the savvy social media users. Junior, who is also in the school, uses the Internet to sift through emails to find out what happened during his blackout.

While skimming through his email messages, Junior opens a video message from his mother. He learns that she is still alive and living outside the Dome. She tells her son to find Lyle and to get some answers from him.

Lyle turns out to be a former lover of Junior's mom. He's also convinced that the rapture will be hitting the Dome soon and that he needs to get rid of any nonbelievers.

"Under the Dome' airs Monday nights at 10pm ET on CBS.
