‘Under the Dome’ Season 2 Spoilers: Barbie’s Fate in Danger

No one is safe in Under the Dome Season 2, says executive producer Neal Baer. The first season left the audience questioning whether Barbie is dead or alive, while the residents of the isolated Chester's Mill, fight for propaganda. The CBS sci-fi show introduces brand new characters to fill in Chester's Mill High School led by teacher Rebecca Pine.

Based on CBS official episode summary, Heads Will Roll will mark the start of an increasingly complicated future for Barbie played by Mike Vogel. "Barbie's fate lies in Big Jim's hands, and the Dome presents a new threat when it becomes magnetized. Meanwhile, Julia seeks out the help of a stranger to save the life of a mysterious girl who may hold clues to origin of the Dome."

In Season 1 finale, Junior refuses to hang Barbie, which ascertains that he might be alive in the second season. However, TV Mega Guide reported that the main protagonist and survivor of The Dome will face more problems in the future.

Karla Crome also stars as Rebecca Pine in the new high school setup, which creator Stephen King embedded to add a scientific aspect of the show. "[Miss Pine] built this model of the dome, so we use this and a bunch of other stuff in our cool little workshop in here to start examining more of the scientific aspects of the dome," co-actor Mackenzie Lintz told Zap2It.

Under the Dome Season 2 premieres on June 30, 10 pm, with creator Stephen King set to make a cameo appearance on first episode. CBS will also feature a Season 1 refresher on June 23 for those who missed the finale.
