The Connecticut Huskies will face the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on January 13 at the Donald Reynolds Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The defending 2014 NCAA Champion Huskies (9-5) are expecting to lengthen their current winning streak to four games when they battle their AAC foe Golden Hurricane on Tuesday night.

"I like where our team is going right now," said UCONN head coach Kevin Ollie to reporters.

"We just have to keep taking steps forward."

Previously, the Huskies defeated their American Athletic Conference challenger Cincinnati Bearcats by a final score of 62-56 (on January 10) where UCONN guard Ryan Boatright totaled 18 points and 8 rebounds in the game.

"Two weeks ago, we probably wouldn't have won that game," said Boatright to reporters.

"But we're getting better every day and we're starting to win those games."

Meanwhile, the Golden Hurricane (10-5) is hoping to extend their winning streak to six games when they host the current NCAA Tournament Champions.

"We're playing a team that cut down the nets and played in the last game last year. I think it's great for our community, the University of Tulsa, this league," said Tulsa head coach Frank Haith to reporters.

"That's what joining this league is all about, the types of teams we are going to bring here to the Reynolds Center. That's got to be exciting for our fanbase."

Previously, Tulsa defeated the American Athletic Conference adversary Temple Owls by a final score of 63-56 (this past Saturday) where Golden Hurricane guard Shaquille Harrison totaled 24 points and 6 rebounds in the victory.
