Once again, Ubisoft has surprised its fans with another exciting advancement in one of their upcoming titles. The developer has recently announced that a additional closed beta test for 'The Crew' will commence August 25, as they are currently accepting applications for participation.

An official Ubisoft announcement revealed the information, "Get ready for the second PC Closed Beta! Because you made our first Beta period such a resounding success, we've decided to open up another session for an end-of-summer driving bash."

One of the more interesting features of the game is that the player can drive around the map without having to load even the furthest regions. Additionally, the announcement shared with its fans that they can expect new and exciting skill challenges this time around in the beta.

Saving the best news for last, players can now expect to be able to customize their vehicles in order to traverse various types of terrain. It seems as though the beta will feature different types of "specs" that the player can choose. The right choice depends on the terrain or landscape that the player expects to encounter as they cruise around the USA.

Additionally, the announcement revealed extra "spec" types that will be accessible to those who participate in the upcoming beta, "Remember that there are three other specs in the game - Perf, Raid and Circuit - and you'll have a glimpse of those during this Closed Beta!"
