‘True Blood’ Season 7 Spoilers: Bon Temps vs H-Vamps Battle Causes Death of a Major Character

True Blood's final season is expected to be the bloodiest and most gruesome since HBO's vampire series premiered in 2008. Season 7 is focused on the battle between Bon Temps and H-Vampires resulting in bloodbath and the alleged death of a major character.

Executive producer Brian Buckner said that True Blood's June 22 premiere is the first of the final episodes, which incorporates the original theme of a human-vampire relationship. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sam Trammell revealed that fans are going to witness various killing sprees, even on the first episode.

"I think that in the past, people have just died and there's a ton of brutal deaths and they haven't really been respected. But I think with Terry's death last year we started to really respect what death is, and Brian Buckner who is running the show this year wanted to consolidate the stories and bring it back to the main cast," Trammell, who plays Major of Bon Temps, told EW.

Rumors about Eric Northman possibly leaving the show are prevalent on social media. True Blood has not confirmed nor denied, but Buckner emphasized that the secrecy helps in bringing justice towards the show's last season.

Buckner added, "Well, I did not confirm that he's alive. Not that I want to create more conversation, because I don't, but to be clear, we're not saying how we're going to use him, we're simply saying that we are using him," Screenrant reported.

True Blood Season 7 "Jesus Gonna Be Here" premieres on June 22, 9 PM on HBO.
