Transformers 4 is scheduled to release on June 27th, 2014 and now we know the official name for the movie, Transformers: Age of Extinction. They also released the first promo poster for the movie set against a desert landscape (shown above).
Transformers 4 will feature new actors and also the debut of the Dinobots characters. The new movie has been filming in Detroit, MI this summer. Filming will also be shot in Chicago and China.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen released in 2009 and Transformers: Dark of the Moon released in 2011.
The new movie name could be a reference to the Dinobots, or humanity could be on the brink of disaster, with the Autobots and Decepticons ready for war.
Transformers 4 will feature Grimlock (Tyrannosaurus rex), Slag (Triceratops), Sludge (Apatosaurus), Snarl (Stegosaurus), Swoop (Pteranodon) and Paddles (Elasmosaurus). Cast newcomers will star Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, T.J. Miller and Sophia Myles.
Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said this about the Dinobots, "I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the joining of the Dinobots will give the audience new excitement. In addition to Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, the appearance of these classic roles changed, today the world's coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including China's vehicles, whether you are a car enthusiast, you will feast your eyes and be shocked by them."
The film is directed by Michael Bay.
