Tracy Morgan Injured Condition Update Latest: Rumor Amputation False, Actor Critical But Stable
Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan has not undergone an alleged amputation following his tragic car accident last weekend.
Rumors circulated around the internet that Morgan, who remains in intensive care, was to receive an amputation on one of his legs. However, the information turned out to be untrue, "Rumors about amputating his leg are completely fabricated," Morgan's publicist told the Daily News in a statement. "Tracy had surgery on his broken leg."
Admitted to the University Hospital in New Brunswick, Morgan's injuries involve several broken bones. While this is most certainly serious and could result in detrimental changes to the 45-year-old star's life, his representative, Robert Wood Johnson announced, Morgan is in "critical but stable condition."
The showman's fiancée Megan (Wollover) remains constantly by his side at the hospital. Reports indicate that Tracy Morgan's journey through recovery will be an "arduous" one. Morgan, a father of four and has been engaged since 2011. Previously fathering three older sons by his ex-wife, Morgan still has the chance at getting to know his new 11 month old daughter, Maven Sonae.
Kevin Roper, 35, is charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto in the Saturday morning crash on the New Jersey Turnpike. Wal-Mart trucker Kevin Roper is expected to appear in state court Wednesday.
