Toronto Mayor Rob Ford Linked to Crack Cocaine Scandal, Photo and Video Evidence?
It all started with a photo. The photo includes Mayor Ford with Anthony Smith, who was murdered in March and a second man who was also injured the night Smith was killed.
The photo surfaced when drug dealers were trying to sell a video to Gawker, a U.S. website, and they used the photo to help get a sale.
Gawker report's that the drug dealers now say the video is "gone" and doesn't exist anymore.
Gawker reports that Ford is friends with Fabio Basso, 45, who lives in a home with his mother Lina Basso, which was confirmed by a neighbor.
Unnamed sources claim that Ford has visited the home on Windsor Rd for years and that they "go down in the basement and party".
Fabio and Rob Ford apparently went to high school together and have kept in touch ever since.
Neighbor Nijole Ardavicius, who is a friend of Lina Basso, said she has never seen Ford over at the house.
"Our mayor is a good mayor," Ardavicius said. "I don't believe that he would do anything like this."
She did admit she couldn't put together why Ford would be in the picture standing in Basso's driveway, but stood to her opinions.
"Somehow I just cannot believe that Rob Ford would be standing in front of this house, in front of Lina's house," Ardavicius said.
Ford has denied all allegations and drug use and has refused to answer questions about the drug scandal or the house in question.
"I've already addressed this," Ford said walking away from reporters at City Hall.
On May 21st, the Toronto Police have confirmed a home invasion at the same house in question around 11 p.m.
"We responded for an assault in progress call," spokesman Mark Pugash said Thursday. "A man forced his way in, assaulted two people and fled on foot."
No arrests have been made yet.
