Nineteen-year old British diving star, Tom Daley, has just announced that he is in fact in a relationship with a man, but he's still attracted to girls. The diving star who won a bronze medalist at last years Olymipics, came out to the public via YouTube in hopes of ending current rumors and speculations. Daley makes the latest diver that has been open about his relationship status since Austrailia's Matthew Mitcham, who announced he was homosexual shortly before he won a diving gold medal in 2008 at the Beijing Olympics. Tom Daley started diving when he was seven and has always had his family support. He has won two gold medals for England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, in the 10 metre synchro diving and the 10 m Individual Platform competition. Daley most recently won the bronze medal for Great Britain in the individual competition at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.  

Tom stated during an interview that honesty is very important to him and that is why he thought it was necessary to record the YouTube video. He had been misqouted during a live interview and his words were supposedly taken wrong by many people. In an attempt to stop all rumors and speculations, Daley made a video explaining what he had actually meant during the interview and that he is a homesexual.  "In an ideal world I wouldn't be doing this video because it shouldn't matter but recently I was misquoted in an interview and it made me feel really angry and frustrated, and emotions that I've never felt before when reading something about myself, and for me honesty is something that I really do believe in...."Come spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone and they made me feel so happy, so safe and everything just feels great -- and that someone is a guy," said Daley. Tom's family is fully behind him when it comes to supporting his decisions regarding his career and love life. "My mum's been supportive as well... all my friends and family have been so supportive which has been great". Daley also stated that his family leads by the qoute, "If you're happy, than I'm happy". Tom has been a guest on the television series, "Splash", and has spoken about hopefully returning to the Olympics and winning Gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics.  Daley's heartfelt and truthful Youtube video about his relationship with his boyfriend is featured below.
